Dr Tom Burke is a chartered Clinical Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland. Tom achieved his professional qualification and doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D.Clin.Psych) at University College Dublin (UCD). Tom’s sponsorship region was HSE CHO 8 (Laois/Offaly), and he worked across a number of clinical settings with both children and adults e.g., Child and Adult Mental Health Services (CAMHS); Primary Care Psychology (Child, and Adult); Care of the Elderly (formerly, Psychiatry of Later Life [PoLL]); Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS); Disability Services (on the 0-18 team); with an elective specialism in neuropsychology at Beaumont Hospital. Prior to this, Tom completed a PhD at Trinity College Dublin in the area of neuropsychology and cognitive assessment. He is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at University College Dublin. Tom is passionate about clinical and cognitive assessments with a specific interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Educational Assessments (e.g., Dyslexia, Dyscalculia), ADD/ADHD, Global Developmental Delay and Intellectual Disability as early intervention assessments and across the lifespan.
