Susan works with adults, adolescents and children. She offers one to one sessions to enable clients of all ages explore with curiosity what is going on for them in a safe, secure environment. Her work is based on a variety of theories, offering creativity and conventional methods of working. She uses talk therapy to work collaboratively with adults, whereas with teenagers she uses a more creative approach, as it offers a safe distance between the presenting issue and the young person and is tailor made for their individual needs. For children she uses play, because play is a child’s unique language and when used therapeutically, it can offer a way to express mixed up feelings in a non-verbal, non-threatening way.

Susan works with Attachment and Trauma issues • Sexual, Emotional or Physical Abuse • Anxiety • Bereavement/Loss • Bullying/Harassment • Emotional and Behavioural regulation • Family breakdown/Separation • Friendship difficulties • Illness • Problematic Relationships •  Psychosexual issues • Difficulties with Sleeping/Eating/Toileting/Selective Mutism • Self-esteem/Self Confidence/Self Image issues • Self Harm/Suicidal Thoughts • Social Anxiety/Withdrawal/Isolation/Aloneness.
