Martin trained as a systemic family therapist in 1993 and has many years’ experience working with individuals, couples and families from this perspective.  As principal of a school comprising both primary and secondary pupils since 1996, he is particularly experienced in dealing with issues that arise for children and adolescents in families, schools and among peers.  Martin is regularly asked to speak to groups of parents by schools about such issues.

Martin completed a Master of Science in organisational consultancy in 2003 and a Doctorate in Management in 2008.  His research centred on the role of leadership in creating accountability in schools and public services.

Martin lectures in the area of management and works as an organisational consultant in Ireland and internationally.
