Donna holds a degree in Psychoanalysis and a Masters in Clinical Psychotherapy. Over a period of three years, she received further training in Child and Adolescent Psychoanalysis from members of Espace Analytique, Paris. She also holds Master degrees in Irish Literature (National University of Ireland) and Irish Drama (Queens University, Belfast).
Over the past ten years Donna has worked extensively as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in several community-based clinics and educational settings. She works with children, adolescents and adults presenting with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, deliberate self harm and gender issues. She is also experienced in working in a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) modality.
Donna lectures on postgraduate programmes at Independent Colleges, Dublin, delivering modules on the subject of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Culture and Psychotherapy.
