Corry has been working in Ireland over the last 30 years with individuals, couples and families presenting with a variety of issues ranging from anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders to all kinds of emotional, behaviour and relational problems.  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an integral part of her approach to working with individuals and families.

“A person often seeks help when facing a major change in life or a big dilemma to be resolved. I view problems in a relational and social context and so often find it helpful to involve relevant others to participate in the sessions.

I like working with couples, parents and with teenagers/young adults and have considerable experience with individuals/ families where marital separation is creating dilemmas and problems.  I am very comfortable working with people from different cultural, racial or religious background as well as with gay and lesbian clients.

I have also specialised over the years in offering assistance to employees in their workplace, offering a form of Employee Assistance Programme service. Such concerns are often related to the work context eg:  stress, burnout, poor work/ life balance, work-addiction, conflict,  bullying, redundancy, retirement, poor team relations etc. I have designed an intervention, called Workplace Dialogue, which can be used as a pre-mediation step in cases of conflict in the workplace”

Since 1985 Corry has been teaching in Professional Training and Masters Programmes in Systemic Psychotherapy. She also supervises various mental health professionals from all over Ireland, both on an individual basis and in a team context.
